FAQ

How long should I wait to roll down my windows and why?

When window tint is applied to the glass it is activated by the slip solution and pressure. It takes time for the adhesive to start curing and if you roll down your windows too early it has a higher chance of peeling up from the friction of the seal.  It can also pull moisture from the seal between the glass and film causing a bubble. You want to wait at least 48 hours to roll down your windows.  If the sun is out, I recommend letting the film bake in the sun while curing.  It speeds up the process and helps dry out any existing moisture.

Does tint go on the outside or inside of the windows?

Tint is applied on the inside. You will see a tech do a lot of work from the outside until it is time to install.  We have to shape and mold the film to fit the curve of the window and that process is conducted on the exterior.

What is in your spray bottles and will it harm my vehicle?

We use water and baby shampoo as a slip solution.  The goal is to use something that won't jeopardize the integrity of the film and baby shampoo doesn't.  We need the baby shampoo to use as a lube.  It allows us to move the film around on the glass. If it's safe for a baby, it's safe for a car.

Can I get my car washed after a tint job?

yes, you can wash your car. The tint is on the inside so it won't harm anything on the outside.

What is the difference between Dyed Film vs Ceramic Film?

The short answer is, ceramic film has around 25% more heat rejection capabilities and a longer lifespan.  Ceramic has a lifetime warranty from our manufacturer whereas dyed has a 10 year.

Can I wait for my vehicle to be tinted or do I have to drop the vehicle off?

we have waiting areas at both our Woodlawn and Lebanon locations.

Can you tint your windows in the winter?

yes you can.  We typically don't tint if the temps are in single digits or lower but in the winter we use curing lamps to dry out the tint faster so there isn't any freezing damage to the film when you leave. It can take longer to cure in the winter though. Sometimes a week before it's completely cured.

Can you tint my windows if they have stickers on them?

yes we can unless the sticker is on the inside.  In most cases there are no issues or damage to stickers on the outside of windows.

How long does it take to tint a vehicle?

If you are doing a full tint job it typically takes around 2 hours or less and if you are just getting fronts to match the backs it takes about 30 mins or less.

Do you do walk in tint appointments?

We run on appointments only so we can get vehicles done in a certain time frame for the customer without dropping off for a day or two.
